  2. Just as a point of clarification, X-Bull is a Chinese company. They claim to be Australian, but the company registered in Australia has a Chinese corporate address. Also, their website is owned and registered by a Chinese company. I believe the quality is usually OK, but the quality control is lacking, meaning you don’t always receive a top quality product.

    • To be honest, almost all of the winch brands source some/all of their winch parts from china, then assemble it in USA/Canada/Australia. Some brands even assemble winches in China. I’m not sure if you know that Warn VR series winches are fully made in china.

They do this mainly to reduce their costs. I agree with you that quality control may lack sometimes. But that’s where the differentiation of winch brands come. Good brands like Warn, Smittybilt, X-Bull ensures quality control that’s why people trust their products. There can be some exceptions though. That’s normal. If their warranty is on point then no worries.

If they make winches a-z in USA/Canada/Australia then I guess the price will be too damn high.
