This winch comes with 2000 lbs. of pulling power. It is also capable of 500 lbs. of vertical lift so it can do some hoisting as well. But keep in mind that it is not designed as an industrial hoist. This winch is powered by 1.5 HP permanent magnet 12 volt DC motor intended for general use.
The line speed is quite fast too, as it can pull 2000 with the speed of 6.5 fpm (feet per minute) and while only drawing 110 amp motor current. So you can see that it requires a low electric current draw. The cable and hook that comes with it are made of stainless steel. The cable itself is 35 feet long.
The 153:1 Dual planetary gear train has an automatic load holding brake. It also features a free spool clutch that disengages the gearbox for pulling out cable manually.
It has a stainless steel frame, drum, fasteners, cable and hook. In the box are a handheld remote controller, a stainless steel hook and a cable. It has a power in and out feature.
Although the winch is specifically designed for salt water boat pulling, it can be used as a general winch for all sorts of environments. Its gearbox is compact and fully sealed, made with marine grade alloy.

This small and compact winch has a pulling power of 800 lbs. of load capacity. The power train is supplemented by a 1.5 horsepower DC 12 Volt motor. It has a dual carriage six planetary gear system with a 121:1 gear ratio. Although the gears themselves make a significant noise while operating, it is normal and nothing to worry about.
The winch doesn’t come with a cable, so you have to buy it yourself and it can handle any length of rope. Line speed is quite decent with anywhere between 8-31 fpm depending on the load.
This winch features a waterproof deck mounted switch for safe and hands free operation. The motor unit is not designed for continuous use, so it’s best to operate it intermittently. Let the windlass cool down before using it again.
The package includes 80 amp breaker, solenoid, and deck switch along with the winch.
Whether you are new with boating, or winching boats, you can easily operate this winch. It has an auto-stop that gives you a significant amount of control. The Endurance Marine 800 lb. winch has a very user friendly manual. It is very easy to install.

Endurance Marine EMD2000, on the other hand, is suited for users who demand more pulling power from their winch. It also comes with a free-wheel clutch and 500 lbs. of vertical lift, which are great perks to have.
Both of these models are manufactured by a company dedicated to provide as much quality at the lowest prices. Each of them can be extremely valuable to you in the long run.
Although manual hand crank winches are less expensive, they can’t possibly match the convenience these Endurance Marine electrical winches provide.
